At Shrubs Central, we take as much care in ensuring your satisfaction as we do in nurturing our premium botanical specimens. Should any plant not meet your expectations, we offer a straightforward returns and exchanges process within 15 days of receipt.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges for most plants within 15 days of delivery, provided they are in their original condition with intact root systems and visible signs of life. Due to the delicate nature of living plants, we cannot accept returns for:

  • Plants that show signs of improper care after delivery (e.g., dehydration, sunburn, frost damage)
  • Custom or special order specimens (marked as such in product descriptions)
  • Plants that have been planted or significantly altered from their delivered state

Special Note on Rare Varieties

Certain rare cultivars from our Azalea and Acer collections may be non-returnable due to their limited availability. These will be clearly marked on product pages.

Return & Exchange Process

  1. Initiate Your Request: Contact our plant specialists within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Receive Instructions: We’ll provide customized return instructions based on your plant type and location within 1-2 business days.
  3. Prepare Your Shipment: Carefully repackage the plant using the original container if possible. Include all plant tags and care instructions.
  4. Return Shipping: For exchanges or store credit: We’ll email a prepaid return label. For refunds: Customer pays return shipping (original shipping fees are non-refundable).
  5. Inspection & Processing: Upon receipt, our horticulturists will inspect the plant (typically within 3 business days).

Refund Information

Once your return is approved:

  • Timing: Refunds process within 5 business days after inspection completion
  • Method: Funds will be returned to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
  • Notification: You’ll receive an email confirmation when your refund is issued

Note: International refunds may take additional time to appear in your account depending on your financial institution.

Exchange Policy

Prefer a different botanical specimen? We’re happy to exchange your plant for another variety of equal value. Simply indicate your preferred exchange (check our current availability at www.shrubscentral.com) in your return request. For exchanges of higher value, you’ll be charged the difference after your return is received.
